The table was originally 36" wide. He cut two 7" slices out of the middle and used the wood to form the "box" that hides the Kurz. The two pieces of the top were rejoined with a piano hinge. It's now 22" wide (two 11" pieces joined with the hinge). There is also a piano hinge at the back edge too so Jon can lift it up and see the display better when he's programming. When it's closed, the Studiologic TMK88 sits inverted above the K2500XS. When it's open, it is a two tier keyboard. Jon usually plays with headphones (no large amp cabinet allowed) but for open air playing he uses a small computer 2.1 sound system that actually doesn't sound that bad. |
